Brownwood High School State Championship Monuments

BHS proudly commemorates historic achievements in our athletics programs with monuments on campus made possible by the support and sponsorship of local community members, organizations and businesses.

In August of 2026, BHS announced the completed installation of two stunning new granite monuments celebrating the historic achievements of our Lady Lions and Lions athletic teams. Located prominently on the BHS campus directly in front of the entrance to Warren Gym, these monuments honor the 2025 Class 4A Lady Lions Track & Field State Champions and the back-to-back 1985 & 1986 Class 4A Lions Golf State Champions.

These new additions are designed to match the distinguished look of our existing State Football Championship monuments (pictured left), celebrating our proud athletic legacy and ensuring our students' achievements are remembered for generations to come.

"The names on those monuments will be there forever for everyone to look at and celebrate. It's a huge accomplishment for the individuals whose names are listed there, and also for Brownwood athletics as a whole." — Brian Harris, Brownwood ISD Athletic Director

The Wall of Champions

Directly behind these newly erected monuments stands our Wall of Champions. In the future, this wall will feature individual state champions from their respective sports, creating a comprehensive tribute to the ultimate successes of Brownwood High School athletes.

These permanent tributes to our student-athletes were made possible through the generous contributions of local business leaders and dedicated community members who sponsored the spots at the base of each monument. We are deeply grateful for their continued partnership and dedication to Brownwood ISD and Brownwood athletics.
